AH31  The Viking Horse & Blue Lagoon All year round

Highlights:
  • Horse riding tour
  • The Blue Lagoon

Tour Description:

This combination of the Viking horse riding tour and AH29 The Blue Lagoon is for those who don’t have too much time but still want to make the most of it.

Get  acquainted with the Icelandic horse which is a breed that has remained virtually unchanged since the Vikings brought it to Iceland in the 9th century. Enjoy a one hour riding tour on the outskirts of the capital.

After the healthy riding experience, we head to the Blue Lagoon. Once there you have a variety of recreational options such as bathing in the milky blue water, massage and spa treatments or simply walking in the Blue Lagoon’s spectacular surroundings. For a unique experience indulge yourself in an outdoor massage or one of the spa treatments available. We recommend booking these well in advance by calling +354 420 8800.

Return to Reykjavík is available at 15:00, 17:15 and 19:00. Driving time from the Blue Lagoon to Reykjavik is around 50 minutes.

Please note:  Entrance fee to the bathing area is not included in the tour price.

The afternoon departure changed to 13:00 (pickup at 12:30) on 20 October 2011.

A fantastic experience. The horses are beautiful, as is the scenery. A swim in the Blue Lagoon is alwyas a must. I always say we travel for two reasons, to see things and to meet people, and our time with both the staff at the stables and our Iceland Excursions driver, John Spencer, made for a very enjoyable and memorable experience. Everyone was more than accomodating. I HIGHLY recommend both the horseback riding and the Blue Lagoon along with Iceland Excursions.

Although missed by the bus from the Grayline office, a taxi whisked us to the farm where we had a lovely ride out into the local area with a little snow falling too-quite magical. The Blue Lagoon was a great antidote for tired muscles and quite special in the dark.Best to bring your own towel.

Trekking through the snow and seeing the Icelandic landscape up close was a really great experience. The people at the horse farm were very friendly and knowledgeable. Horses were adorable and very relaxed. Highly recommend it. We finished the day with an afternoon at the Blue Lagoon - just what we needed. It was a great day.
